Things that I have found quite interesting

From my Collection of Interesting Objects

Since I was a little girl I have been a collector of Interesting Things, which other people have called Junk.
I was lucky enough to marry a man who was happy with my undoubted eccentricity, although when my sister once gave me a leopard's head for Christmas he did say, as he fixed it in place,"The next head on this wall will be yours!"
My Father and I often went to Funny Street(Upper Gardner Street) in Brighton, and he came back with some amazing bargains. Once he bought a siver pedometer for two shillings, pointing out to the stallholder that "This watch is broken. It's only got one hand!"
From time to time I should like to share some of my Interesting Finds with you; they are a varied lot, because there is so much of interest out there!

My first choice is something my Father gave me. He paid two or three pence for it, asking,"What do you want for this old stick?"
Here it is,as he bought it. Don't cheat and look at the end.

What do you think it is?

It is a blue steel Spanish stiletto.
Press the knot and pull, and out will come a lethal blade, beautifully engraved.

Two pence for 'a bit of old stick!' What a bargain!
